Do all Quest Artifacts require a key?

Yes. If you investigate a quest, even just probing, you will learn the key shortname (no risk to your leaders).

Quest encounters are now considered superior in Maelstrom so if you use the calculator do as superior and not quest.

You can even investigate the quest location with no leaders, just the rando dozen hand-picked troops. I'm sure that they always feel relieved when they see that they need a key to enter as the vast majority of them usually die during encounters.

Actually, way more than the majority die. I've had battle reports where the regular troop casualty rate was over 100%.

New quest question. Do you need to cast Bridge of Mist if you do not have the adventure trait? The text says you need it for superior artifacts, it does not mention Quest.
