When they fly, how do they carry Mammoths? Does it matter if they are African or European?

I always assumed the mammoths thundered on below, unencumbered by humans slowing them down.

In my recollection that was sort of Monty Python throw away. I don't recall that the kind of bird ever entered into the movie as more than a passing porosity. Just go with European Swallow. If only those were our greatest problems.

Perhaps the stallions could use a strand of creeper to carry the mammoths as a pair.
