EL and flanking
#1
In my setup for the EL, it says that the EL has the ability to flank an opponent. However, it also says that the Riders trait is needed (along with a marshal of course). There is no riders trait.

Maybe this is an error from time before Maelstrom?

Sacred Order has the same.

Sacred Order has the same.

The Elves were stripped of the Riders trait, but the dossier did not change to reflect that.

I would say more, but then I thought better of it.

Back in 2nd Cycle, the Elves dominated.  First Cycle it was the Giants.  Third Cycle it was the Dark Elves.  I keep trying to get it right.

Of course, my intention is that a clever player can play any kingdom and hope to win.

1) Halflings rule all cycles.
2) Back to the question at hand... SA does not have the riders trait, but can flank. It would appear that EL is the same based on dossier. Does anyone know if this is accurate?

No I don’t think they can’t flank. SA gets it as a special ability, exemption from riders trait, And if SA goes against a Riders trait theirs doesn’t work.

Fair enough. And it's a shame EL forgot how to ride horses.

Ahh, memories of The Giants and Trolls and their (at the time) unique recruiting abilities. Nothing was more fun than running roughshod over the map with huge Troll groups.
