This format has helped me learn a lot, the game isn't just about knowing commands it is knowing who the more experienced players are and the way they play. I have been in a war since turn 5 or so, but because of this have learnt so much more than just growing and army and attacking, it is helping me learn the more of the cover and political side of things.

My mentor is knowledgable and great, I have reached out to him with questions on other games and trying to understand some of the rules and he is quick to answer.

I do like this format of communicating with 1 on 1 alliance. It makes it more tactful then trying to drop hints on the forum for all to see.

When this game is over I would like to see what everyone else learned and taken away so we can share that knowledge.

I will be happy to exchange turns with you after the game Valuthor.

Haha, we can see what we were each doing and point out a few mistakes I am sure we both noticed. Smile

To our neighbors the Elves, ours was a protective move when no reply was received last season. We are happy to reverse it should you desire a safe southern border. Please let us know.

To the Barbarian horde: Good hunting!
To the Amazons: Good horsing!
To the Drow: Good luck!

Lord Elf,

We eagerly await your reply as to if you would care for peace or if our well-laid defenses are to be tested. They will pass, I assure you. Peace would be more... peaceful? Elven? Midget-esque? At any rate, love and hugs as always, unless you mean to invade. We're currently practicing the Ceremonial Elven Bro-Hug in hopes we get to use it. It would be much more fun to test the barbarians in battle than for the forces of good (hint: that's you and me) to go to war.

El Rangerito

His most Gracious and Magnificent Barbarian King Conan asks the Ranger King if putting his Men in Tights with their little staffs against our bearskin clad warriors with their giant "hmmm" Battle Axes as such a wise move? Particularly seeing how we don't share a border?

Naa sing your show tunes and keep to the south. The air down there is better suited to the Rangers frail constitution. After all, Winter Is Coming

(CI-DE) - (Ha - EL) We would like you to know your border is secure and would offer a three moon NAP if agreeable.
(CI-DL) - (IL-AM) We would also like to offer your great houses a three moon NAP if it is agreeable.

I apologized for my limited time reading messages. If I understand elves/halfling and CI/DE would all like NAPS this turn and we are glad to accept them.

The Raging Ranger Lord is travelling away from his castle. He is on a giant bat made of steel that flies through the Air. Very Powerful Magics.

Illustrious Amazonians and Illusionists. We do seek to confirm our NAP for the next three cycles. Please accept this message as our confirmation of your agreement. Good hunting to you.

To the Barbarian Horde and your ally. We accept your offer of a NAP as we have no interest in your current battle.

Ranger lord,

With your declaration against our kingdoms, we have prepared for your invasion. Now it appears that we have each been preparing for the other. While your desire to go after the Horde would be in our interests, we must decide who is the greater threat. You and your ally dispatched the Tyrant with little to no difficulty. I would consider your alliance to be the strongest in the game and I hope that the little people and us Tree folk can put up more of a fight than those who have fallen to your forces. To leave your forces unchallenged would be to surrender this game. That leaves us no choice but to do our part to ensure that your power does not grow and your influence does not spread.

We respect your honorable actions and communications, but we must rise up and oppose your expansion.    Good hunting to you and yours.

Lord of the Elves.
Ashgar the Bloodthirsty.

My blood, your blood, what difference does it make!

Time will tell.................

All (except for the barbarians, whose attention span won't read this in it's entirety and who hates big words anyways),

As indicated, I am currently waiting for the giant iron sky horse to carry me from the magical realm of Berlin to the more magical one of San Diego. So please excuse my lack of communication this season.

Lord Elf, I am honored by your words and (future) attention. While it seems to all stem from misplaced concerns, I cannot fault your desire to test yourselves against us. You show courage and honor where the Barbarians show only bluster while chasing around your cousins. We continue to build and bolster our defenses, strengthen our troops and wizards, and rally our citizens to arms.

As a demonstration of our benevolence, our posture - for the time being - shall remain defensive. In schoolyard parlance, you may have the first punch. Be advised, though, that once the fisticuffs have begun, our patience and mercy shall be at its end. We leave the choice to you.

Good hunting, whatever your quarry may be.

Hail and well met to all, except for the DA who has decided he's had enough. Congrats to the Barbarians for politely encouraging them to exit. Also congrats to the Amazons for building the world's first shiny in Stormgate. I never took the ladies for builders, but they seem to have a knack for it.

To the Elf, please leave. Take your midgets with you. We're very busy and can't be bothered with clearing away the bodies of your unsuccessful attacks. Bobby Fisher style, we'll extend our hand in peace. Your call on if you choose to take the opportunity.
