Dread, Silent Lord,
Please be aware that I now own the town you have started destroying this month. We humbly request that you please do NOT complete the job.
We also now own the town two north and seven east of that location, and the town four north and three east of that location.

OOC: This game has become something akin to a slapstick comedy for me. After the DW attack I moved two fairly high ranking emmys into NM towns that I knew the DW had taken. I figured that would be safe from the DW armies given their pathetic movement capabilities. In subsequent turns both PCs were destroyed by the WI, killing both emmys. I can't really understand why the WI is blowing up his own towns? Definitely caught me by surprise!

Lothadeus,
I wasn't aware of the 10k gold requirement for artifact trades when I offered to lease the Orator for a few months, so the payment you just made of 10k to have this returned to your possession is gold that I owe you and will return in a future transaction.
It grieves me that you and your Darkelven ally have sided with that noisy half-troll from Runnimede and tolerate his unceasing manipulations. I think you've both committed to a course of action that hands the two races already well ahead a much easier path to victory, which is somewhat confounding.

Hail King Oban,
Thank you for the return of the item. No worries on the 10K gold. While I have a tight alliance bound by marriage with the Gnomes, I certainly value the friendship between our two nations as well. Due to relationships formed, I cannot enter on either side of the conflict.
Your friend,
~LS

Hail Great King,
You have shown yourself to be a very wise ruler. Thank you for not entering the fray to assist the Giant. It looks like his days are numbered. Thank you for continued peace between our two nations.
Best regards,

Hail mighty King!
We have not had opportunity to work together, but my Gnomish in-laws state that your character is of the utmost integrity. As you are aware, we landed this turn on your village in Arcania thinking that it might be a Giant holding. I have instructed my military leaders to make parley with the inhabitants of the village as we are hoping for some additional regional influence and are also in desperate need of northern food supplies. Given that your empire has grown so strong and is generally recognized throughout the land as being the mightiest of all nations, I sincerely hope the loss of this single village would not cause any undue hardship on your part. Please let me know if it would.
Very Best Regards,
~Lord Lothaedus Swordhand

Dearest comrade,
Our war efforts have gone well. Our battle against the ignoble Giant's first army went splendidly. We killed approximately 1/3 of his force while only taking 1% losses ourselves. We have taken all of the southern PC's from the tyrannical Giant as well. We plan to march upon his capital this turn and begin siege operations.
If you can spare 30K more food this turn (final month of summer), I would be very appreciative. If not, I understand.
I am delighted by the tight bond we have developed, especially in light of the antagonistic start I had with your predecessor. I am certain that historians will tell great stories of our united houses' accomplishments.
Ever your friend,
~LS

Dear Lothaedus,
My predecessor was a tyrant, which is why I deposed him. I too truly appreciate our close relationship.
Anything you ever need from my kingdom is yours ... of course I will send the 30K food this month.
I will take two towns and a village from the Towering Terror this month. I would have tried to take one more town this month, but my princess there reports a Black Dragon army group containing 20 brigades! Perhaps the Great Ruler of the Night is aiding our cause ... but just in case, I will leave this town alone.
I am glad that you will be sieging the Giant capital. Its defenses are a little too much for a quick attack from my troops.
Your Brother,
Roris

... also, brother, would you like me to share the location of that Black Dragon group and of the three Giant groups I located ... or do you think we shouldn't do so on this public forum?

We greatly value our small village. We have only a hand full of PCs. The Village in question is our only southern source of food. We are not asking anything we did not impose on our militaries and diplomats. We protected the GN town in our home region as if it were our own. We had no alliance with the GN at the time. We are likely already loosing the gold the GI was giving me every turn for a town in the region you invaded and now your telling us, we must give you this village to satisfy your need for expansion. This village is much less likely to fall under GI rule while I own it than if you control it.

Please share locations of Giant groups, but I suspect Giant is inactive at this point.
I believe the Black Dragon is not our enemy. There would be no point for him to defend a kingdom that is no longer active. Plus, he never took hostile action, so I believe he is still our friend.
Best,

Great Dragon Lord,
What are your aspirations? Do you have your eyes set upon any lands to conquer? Can I be of assistance in any way?

Brother Lothaedus,
The Giant has armies at VQ and OP and a patrol at SO.
It would be a blessing and an honor, truly, if the Great One of the Night Sky would join us!
Yours,
Roris
