Wall of Flame
#1
Does Wall of Flame work with an attack?
Obviously, if you defend and throw up a wall, a level 3 attacker must come through it.
But what if you both attack on a 3? Does the other army have to come through it?

Haven't tried it. Interesting question.

It IS a common tactic (as an expert like VBM undoubtedly knows) to cast Wall of Flame and attack on a 1 or 2, which wouldn't cause a battle but would allow for a "non-surprised" result if the enemy charges through the wall on a 3, and also serve as a non-defense order being entered by the caster so that other pop center interactions could occur.

I have not tried it but I suspect both groups would suffer damage from the spell if both attack on a 3.

Thanks for the responses. And, no, I did not realize my own Wall of Flame would also stop my own attack unless it is a 3 Smile.

Wow, you mean I actually taught the game's Podium leader something? I feel so honored and special! Smile

You are special, HH.
Actually, I seem to learn something every game.
Sabotaging a pop center defense to 0 does not destroy it. Just learned that one last game.

I guess this was an appropriate post for the Tips, Tricks, and Tactics forum, then. Smile

Does Wall of Flame work on Dragons? If not, and i suspect not, what spells are best for fighting Dragons?

I would think troop buffing spells and stunning the dragon groups leaders. As well as fighting them in your advantaged terrain.  Or in mountains.
