Seeking New Heroes Primeval
This will be as game #133, the initial Primeval game: 5 players, 5 kingdoms, the EL, DW, GI, GN, and BL.
This game is restricted to personas that have not yet stood on the podium: no top three finishes.
First come, first served for claiming your kingdom by posting here.
Players in this game will have it count 1 toward available game slots, as in other games. It will run on the usual 4-4-4-6 days cycle.

I just completed the sign up process this morning but I have not been contacted on how to pay.
I played the old PBM Alamaze game and in deciding which game(s) to join now I was wondering if someone could explain what the different types of games are? Cycle of steel, Primeval, Anonymous, etc.
Are there any other differences in the 5 person game listed here that I should know about or is it essentially the same game but with only 5 kingdoms?
Sorry, I am a newbie.

Same game, fewer players, so makes some strategy differences. See the posts for Game 133. The players have talked a bit about the dynamics. Think it is called First Primeval in the Signup link.

Thanks for the reply, that thread was very helpful.
I'm brand new but I'm in to play the Elves if that's ok...
(Also have a second choice if someone has their hearts set on playing the Elves).

So please sign me up for Primevel. This my first game so I'll take whatever Kingdom is available although if you can suggest one for a newbie, feel free. I did play FoR some years ago.

I did learn one thing from my "mentor".

If there are five new players ready to go....

Please do not take any of my comments as a personal insult or as a criticism of the game 'Alamaze', which I very much enjoy. Rather, I hope that my personal insight and unique perspective may, in some way, help make 'Alamaze' more fun, a more successful financial venture, or simply more sustainable as a long-term project. Anyone who reads this post should feel completely free to ignore, disregard, scorn, implement, improve, dispute, or otherwise comment upon its content.

I have changed the heading of this forum to "Alamaze New Game Sign-Up!" to help clarify this is where to claim a kingdom for a game set to form (get the required players and kingdoms) and explained a bit about the formats in the forum heading.
Some new players tend to want to be polite and ask if they can have a kingdom or maybe another, etc. They intend to be courtrous and unobtrusive, but its instead kind of like a driver at a busy four way stop sign that doesn't go when it's his turn - just confuses everybody. Don't do that. Instead:
Claim Your Kingdom!
Of course, it has to be a kingdom not already claimed for that game, and a kingdom in the format. For example, Primeval has five kingdoms in play, so a player must select one of the five not already selected.
