Ashgar75 ,
I dont think you can claim victory the standard way due to the fact its not 1 person running 2 kingdoms.

Victory had to be special for this game because at the time Ry Vor was not yet used to the special game creator.   IL/AM have met the victory.  Now AM needs to get control of a couple more regions so we can declare a dual victory.
Mentors..........Apprentice
Rellgar (HA) Darkover(2)................Ashgar75 (EL) Diamond Coast(3)
DuPoint (DE) Zanthia(6).................Strylin (CI) Krynn(4)
Draugr (IL) Sword Coast(8) ............Brekk (AM) Mythgar(11)
PTRILEY (TY) Untamed Lands(12).....Morgan Kane (AN) Zamora(10)
Vball Michael (DU) Pellinor(9)...........Painted Man (RA) Nyvaria(7)
Canticar (AT) Crown Islands(1).........Valuthor (DA) Triumvia(5)

Victory will be the first team to have control of 6 regions. No victory check made. The first team that gets 6 regions at any time wins. That team over the next couple turns can either get 2 more regions and both declare a Rex or make it so both declare a unurper. The game effectively ends at the 6 region victory and no body can then stop the winning team from working towards declaring victory.

DAMMMMNNNNNN, There was no chance of winning for us, but I wanted to continue working down the Ranger group!

Rellgar (HA) and Myself (EL) had it very quiet and easy going early on. I think one thing I learned and learned the hard way was that sitting back and building doesn't lead to strong forces. I took a few groups up against the Ranger and even though I had more forces than him, I lost Horribly. When I realized that Elite Troops are soooo much stronger than regular forces, and him having 3 warlords made a huge difference, I had to change tactics. The HA and I eliminated all his Wizards and began killing off his Warlords. We just had him move up into my region where I planned to Dome to prevent him taking my towns, and I was still killing his warlords one at a time. I had one to go and the game ended.

It was great to learn more about the battle mechanics and that you have to be flexible and constantly working to move forward as hanging back without a clear strategy is like moving backward.

The Painted Man had an amazing force. He battled the HA Army Group, my Army Group, and my Army all in the same turn. he did lost some leaders and all his wizards, but he decimated my two groups and might have won the battle with the HA group had he not selected Tac 1. Tons of respect for the strength of Ranger Elites. I think in all my battles with him I only eliminated a total of 4 brigades while losing about 18 brigades. I should have been going with Tac 1, but I overestimated my chances. Good battles and good fun.

Super fun game. Ultimately my partner in awesomeness and I weren’t able to balance a war on two fronts (we attacked AM/IL the same turn that EL/HA invade us) and ended up in a war of attrition that we couldn’t win. As Ashgar points out, I got to do a lot of playing with my troops. I took the battle to the Tyrant early on and, unfortunately, he and his partner the AN dropped, leaving an uncontested region and unbalanced that side of the map a bit. But the Untamed Lands gave me some fun companion recruiting options (half off!) and using mostly military built up leaders.

On my return to Nyvaria I had some initial success in retaking pop centers and thought I had hit a roadblock with the trap that HA/EL had laid for me. 23 brigade HA group, and EL groups of 20 and 8 brigades, all with p5s or better against 18 of mine with a p3 and p2. Lost those wizards and a warlord, but beat up the EL beyond expectations and should have stuck around against HA instead of defending at a 1.

Ended the game with an AG in the EL homeland and an army and division up in HA territory. Ultimately truly enjoyed the fight against Ashgar and Rellgar. Great learning experience and I got to get to know my mentor a bit better. Two accountants! Yay! We made some communication gaffs but he taught me quite a bit related to the nuances I wasn’t prepared for as it’s a much different game from when I last played.

Well done to Draugr and Brekk for a solid strategy and no errors that I could see.

Thanks all for a fun game!
