TY
Truly fun and exciting turn. Lots of 3rd cycle forums now, so not sure where to put comments.
Ok, battles. Had an excellent battle with the GN this turn and it went about as expected. We each had 10 brigades, though I think my troops were stronger. He had a slight edge on leaders and wizards and morale.
My troops had 5 Tyrant, 3 Troll, 1 Orc, 1 Warg while he had 4 Gnome, 5 Westmen (3 were green), 1 Rock Golem. I had a Major General and 2 Captain Majors, and he had a Commander and a Major General and a Captain Major. My wizards were 4 and 1, while his were 4, 3, 1. My troops are super susceptible to magic, so his magic advantage was magnified. It appears that we both attacked on a 2 (I was worried about Wall of Flame). By the way, this was mid-siege of his capital (I had sieged one turn and was about to siege for turn 2 - will take town with 2 siege turns for Tyrant), so Gnome was eager to break the siege if he could and I was eager to maintain it. I was not strong enough to hit it outright (well, maybe, but it would be close and I would lose a lot). Lots of cool damage in our battle, and then the Gnome withdrew with 39% losses, while TY lost 18%. All leaders survived but the Gnome P3 was killed.
The good news is that I now have veterans and other things needed to do some of the special TY battle abilities, so I will try those next.
Then, the best part. The siege worked after two turns like it was supposed to with increased odds of capturing emissaries therein, and I captured all but 2 of the emissaries/agents at the capital (7 emissaries/agents captured), including the King and the Fool. I now have two Fools bent on entertaining at my court. Guess I did not realize that would happen.
Sorry, GN, but because of the confusion up front (suspicious in my starting region), I had to pick a region I thought I could take, and I was tolerant in Runnimede with some assets located there

.
Rick asked for ESO feedback. As usual, I chose a major, but I did pick different ones than usual. Because I was a dispersed kingdom and not sure where I would land, I chose: Recover 3 artifacts (since I heard there would be lots of sightings), substantial in a region, 3 dukes, 2 level 7 agents. I was fortunate to recover my 3rd artifact on turn 9, so I claimed on turn 10. I chose 2 kingdom brigades, 2 barons, 1 influence. Then, because of the TY special feature of hitting the major ESO, I was also awarded 2 green trolls and 2 points of influence. Pretty sweet.
How long are we running 502 and 503?
