Resource: Compendium of Kingdom Specific Strategy
I think it would be a great resource to have a player who has podiumed (top 3 finish) take on posting a strategy for any (and all) kingdoms so taken to a high finish. It would be great to have a dozen of these to start with, and in time, all 24.
If someone posts on a kingdom, let's invite discussion and other perspectives.
To get things going, for each different kingdom covered in the next 72 hours that complies with the guidelines will get a $10 credit.
Format:
Kingdom Name (not ab.), bold
Overview: at least 100 words to 300. This is to give a player an idea of what the kingdom is about. Strengths, special abilities and how to utilize these, magical opinion, military opinion, political opinion. Other impressions you have. (Just that little section was about 45 words, just sayin' 100 words goes fast)
Early Strategy: What needs to be accomplished by turn 6, and mainly on why this kingdom might be different from the generic approach. Have you discovered something beyond, "Explore early, take your region, build your agents and wizards." This should be also 100-300 words, or more if you are inspired.
Mid Game: Make this if things went as planned in Early Strategy, and also sort of a fall back plan. This is through turn 12. What should have been accomplished by now. This might be the meatiest piece of your analysis. Make this at least 200 words to 700. Put in your own impressions and other points about the kingdom not covered earlier.
Late Game: Some players get lost here. Assuming you are succeeding on the board, how do you position yourself for the endgame? 100 - 300 words.
End Game: Maybe just how you did it. This is really why you are writing this strategy piece. At least 100 to 1000 words, please. Any personal impressions you had while playing this kingdom will be great. What you might have done differently. Are you planning to play this kingdom again, why or why not?
OK, that's it.
