This seems to be a topic like religion and politics.
At any rate, we can still decide based on input in the next week whether Alamaze Classic will have team victory as a possibility, or if only an individual kingdom can win.
Post your view! Could be entertaining.

I don't mind either way. It is nice to go in with two team mates, but if we don't have those attachments then we are free to mix it up. I have been mentally going at this from the point of view of Second Cycle of Magic, but a completely individual game with no teams is good as well.
If pressed for a choice I would say no teams, but I'm only marginally there.

At this point, I don't anticipate ever wanting to play team games that start with pre-determined teammates. I might change my mind down the road, but most likely it would be in Epic games where I control all the kingdoms. I'm just not a great "sacrifice for the team" teammate.
I very much want to play individual victory games where my primary goal is to reach my Secret Victory Condition. I am not in the least bit interested in feeling pressured to provide resources or to work against my kingdom's best interests for the sake of a pre-determined team.
I enjoy the diplomatic side of the game and will happily have allies and enemies, of my choosing, in each game. To me, forcing the teams takes away an essential element of the game. It's not really 'diplomacy' when you aren't given a choice.
There will be some games where I don't even work towards victory. Perhaps I will be the Sorcerer who only wants to be left alone to raise my wizards in peace. Maybe I'll be the reclusive Elf who only wants to be left alone. I want the option to play the game that is the most fun for me. That's the beauty of the subscription plan; I can do whatever I want guilt-free!
This decision will have a direct and significant impact on which service level I have and how many games I play at any given time. It will also impact how much I enjoy Alamaze altogether.
Give us the option to play Individual Games. Then, when you get the service levels all set up, give us the options to play Team, Epic, and Titan Games. The more options I have, the more money I will be willing to spend.

I prefer 15 individual players per game, all with their own options for making allies or enemies (except natural enemies of course - which I love). If I have a choice, I will never select a team game with established allies as I could be painting myself into a corner trying to help kings that I did not choose to ally with. I sometimes like to play games without even conferring or NAP'ing with anyone.....just deal with the threats as they come my way. And being so busy (IRL), anyone forced to be my ally will find turns pass without a single communication from me. ...then I end up with a reputation of not being a good team player.

I prefer individual games as well. The preset natural enemy is fine by me and makes sense for positions like the Elves/Darkevles and whatnot...

I prefer the idea of individuals as well. Not so keen on teams.

Well, that's good enough for me!
Classic Alamaze will have only individual victory in the regular games.
Of course, when the Epic Games start, there can be both individual and team victories.

Late to the game, but I prefer individual victory as well.
