Hello. I'd like to buy 100k food this turn, if anyone has some to sell. I'm thinking 2:1.1 rate. Seems like trade has been declining lately, and we're starting to shrivel up into miniature bags of nothing...

Thanks for the trade. So here's what I'm thinking (open to all), but since you're the first, you lead the way. Our game rules:
No trades with the same kingdom more than three consecutive turns
No allies this game
Every turn available forum diplomacy
It appears that most trades begin at the 2:1 ratio, which is a nice solid number. Since we only have 3 turns, and I'd like to encourage trade, so each consecutive turn increases the trade ratio. The SO now has a ratio of 2:1.2, so the same 50k food is worth 30k gold. (last turn we started at 2 : 1.1 ratio instead of 2:1). After the 3rd turn, the rate resets to 2:1.
Obviously, we just want to trade. Other kingdoms have nothing to fear from the vertically challenged kingdom. We will remain in Krynn unless someone attacks us (or until turn 34 if the game goes that long).
Halfling Disclaimer: Trading will initially be limited to the amount of food I produce each turn (possible exception for the summer months). I will try to accommodate those that are in the "consecutive" turns first, but I cannot guarantee anything. Beyond that, it's first come, first served. This is educational for me, so if I have to change something, it will be announced on the forum. No Dusi's were harmed in the release of this post.

Above is a post we penned early on in the game. This game has been educational with regards to trading, but we've exceeded turn 34. Because I was still learning, I just wanted to let my neighbors know that I'm still not planning on leaving Krynn. Feel free to murder each other while we sit back and make a profit on your blood-lust. I would love to read battles if anyone wanted to share after the game.

IL - UN If you like I can continue our "retainer " this turn sending 100k gold for 1 food. I expect next turn I may have need of your services but for now it would be excellent if you just don't target me.

I thought you'd never ask. Of course! 40k for princes is fine. Not sure if anything less than that is worth my time, but you can ask. I really like going after wizards, though. 100k for any level 6 plus.

IL - UN Some of the DU targets could be IL. My leader made a very dumb error and concealed our leaders but named the kingdom from our AN game. Trust the old guys to screw things up. Bottom line is DU sees some of our guys and wizards with his level 1 recons. I trust that 100k retainer will work in our favor? Of course we can sweeten the pot every turn.
