I have enjoyed following both of your post as you work your way through the draft.  The logic of your picks is a good read for many players.  I hope either or both of you can keep a journal through this one and share a report of the game at it's conclusion.  Well done so far!

Sorry for delay; I had to run an errand.

I was going to select Amazon as my last pick.

Now I must figure out something else.

1 = Warmaster
2 = Draugr

1 Red Dragon
2 ------------- Sorcerer
2 ------------- Demon Princes
1 Rangers
2 ------------- Gnomes
1 Dark Elves
2 ------------- Black Dragon
1 Druid
2 ------------- Necromancer
1 Nomads
2 ------------- Amazons
1 Cimmerians

I prefer all kingdoms being available for selection (I agree that TY will not be available for selection.)

Let's try Pagan.

No Ice Age.

Fixed cities.

No +4 orders.

7 regions or more for victory.

Cimmerians can support druids and force the necromancer to compete for control of the region.

I have never played the Cimmerians before. So this may be a bad choice. We shall see.

R3 remains empty at the start. Maybe there is a dragon hoard there somewhere?

Let's set Victory at 8 regions. The most likely outcome is victor is decided when opponent concedes.

Game queue is ready Draugr.

I look at this contest as a learning opportunity.

Good luck to you!

I found it very interesting also.

This sort of forum commentary should be mandatory to play Titan games.

Yes, that was entertaining and educational and gave us a peak inside the minds of those players willing to risk brain cells (only the weak cells die) to control six kingdoms.  I could see the sense in all selections in the Titan format where it is said the games are short so not so much emphasis on development.

I agree we should like to see this kind of analysis (good job guys) for any Titan or Warlords game.

I believe the community would like to follow along as best able.  So learning when regions are controlled or lost or major battles with tactics used, spells cast and losses sustained.

OK, four turns have been processed. A hellish winter approaches . . .

Team Evil: SO/DE/GN/BL/NE/AM
Team Valiant: RD/RA/DA/DU/NO/CI

I am not certain whether either of us have had a good start, a poor one, or merely average. Much remains to be decided!

As things stand now:

HC seats (two for each of us):
DE and SO (two evil, evil beings);
RA and RD (two valiant, virtuous Exemplars.)

Cities (six for Evil, five for Valiant, and one for Humans):
The Evil team controls CD (BL); DK (NE); QC (AM); IN (SO); NK (SO); and YD (GN);
The Valiant Exemplars control: CU (CI); KU (DA); OP (RA); UM (RA); YU (NO);
Humans control: OV.

Regions (one Evil region and two Valiant regions):
Runnimede (GN);
Arcania (RA), and Southern Sands (NO.)

One major battle:
Battle between the 1st Red Dragon army and the 1st Amazons army in the plains of area QC:

Red Dragon Amazons

Major General Ancalogon Marshal Circi Halfmoon

Major General Tyranis General Daughter of Sun

Captain Ra Decoranis General The Spear

None Power-3 Aryia

Power-2 Mysteria

Brigades

5 Red Dragons Regular 6 Amazons Regular

2 Wyverns Regular 1 Wildlings Regular

2 Great Bats Regular 1 Westmen Regular

Combat Factors

None Very Good Leaders

Tactical Selection

Determined Attack Hold At All Costs

Due to the ruthless nature of the Red Dragon, the Amazons forces became weakened as they

succumbed to their fear. Late in the afternoon, the 1st Red Dragon army eagerly swept

toward the defensive position of the 1st Amazons army under Marshal Circi Halfmoon.

Knowing that their liege had declared the Red Dragon to be an enemy of their nation, the

Amazons forces were invigorated and gained a morale boost as they prepared to fight their

declared enemy! Across the field, the Amazons' forces saw the banner of the Red Dragon 1st

group, it's most respected. The Amazons fielded its pride: its 1st group. As the attackers

swept down from the darkening sky to just above the green fields, the first missiles sang

out.

- Long Range Missilers -

The long range Red Dragon intense fiery breath and the archers advanced adorned in animal

skins of the Amazons force initiated their attack. The Red Dragon forces inflicted light

damage upon the Amazons forces and, in return, the Amazons inflicted minor losses to their

foes.

- Short Range Missilers -

The short range Red Dragon intense fiery breath and the archers advanced adorned in animal

skins of the Amazons force initiated their attack. The Red Dragon ranks imposed light

losses upon the Amazons forces in return, the Amazons claimed minor damage against the

enemy.

- Magic -

Amazons mages dismounted just beyond the range of defending bowmen and began an animated

incantation. Aryia's presence was clear. Arcs of searing fire shot forth from him. Power-3

wizard Aryia incanted in a low forceful tone. A light sparkling mist seemed to fall

briefly over the troops, and then they grew clearly more intrepid. Power-2 wizard Mysteria

muttered a few words in a foreign tongue. With a dazzling display of images in the air,

the leader of the opposing force is mezmorized and cannot move! Mages were not a

significant factor in the battle.

- Charge -

The outcome of the battle was still very much in doubt. Quickly, Major General Ancalogon

beckoned the Red Dragon death-bringing winged attack down upon the riders drove bare heels

into their steeds of the Amazons. The Red Dragon lines claimed noticable casualties upon

the Amazons forces in return, the Amazons caused noticable losses to their foes.

- Melee -

Hour after hour passed, yet none could tell which side would first break and which would

triumph. The dragons now landed, shaking the earth, grim determination on the face of each

they met in heated, blood-stained battle. The Red Dragon enormous piercing fangs

confronted the Amazons fearless spear wielding maidens to determine the outcome of the

battle. The Red Dragon lines claimed significant casualties upon the Amazons ranks and, in

return, the Amazons imposed significant losses to their enemy.

- Combined -

Hour after hour passed, yet none could tell which side would be the victor since both

forces were evenly matched. Despite all that had preceeded at this moment, the battle

outcome was still in doubt. Now all remaining troops of all types hurled themselves into

the thick of battle to settle matters in decisive fashion. Victory had yet to take sides

in this epic struggle: Yet more hour killing hours passed, and these saw all the weary

lines of each side rejoin the contest in a final, gallant effort to triumph. The Red

Dragon enormous piercing fangs challenged the Amazons fearless spear wielding maidens to

decide the battle. The Red Dragon ranks claimed appreciable losses upon the Amazons ranks

while the Amazons imposed appreciable casualties to their foes.

- Conclusion -

Fighting had been brutal and the troops on each side were exhausted: both commanders

simultaneously withdrew their forces from the battlefield. The Red Dragon showed good

composure in their withdrawal, minimizing losses. Retreating caused additional losses for

the Amazons were minor. Red Dragon casualties were put at 73.93%. In a setback, the Red

Dragon Captain Ra Decoranis died of his wounds. Earning elevation was an Red Dragons

brigade. They are now a Veteran unit. The toll of battle has reduced the group's morale.

Amazons casualties were put at 68.50%. All Amazons leaders survived the battle. Circi

Halfmoon once again shown uncommon skill and has earned a promotion to Grand Marshal. The

Spear demonstrated tactical awareness and has been recognized as a Major General. Sadly,

the Amazons Power-2 Mysteria did not survive. An Westmen brigade of Regular experience

fought bravely and have been elevated to Veteran level. The troops are anxious for further

glory: morale is up!
