I prefer all kingdoms being available for selection (I agree that TY will not be available for selection.)

Let's try Pagan.

No Ice Age.

Fixed cities.

No +4 orders.

BL
as With the RD they are very mobil and now have rich so have good starting gold. In the pegan format the early speed of the BL can help himself and allies gain there regions quickly. The BL starts with an above average total military that can quickly aid allies if needed. Though does not stack up vs RD. But that is why RD was #1

Druid because I need a pure mage to cast unveil popcenters. The pick also eliminates most of the forests as a possible early game battlefield for the RD. The corner position is safer than most other regions, especially in conjunction with the DU ability to auto recon its own pcs.

NE
Great spell list as well at a price of higher research cost. In this case I picked NE to help isolate the DU from the pack. Also like the DA the NE is one of the few kingdoms that gets an innate +4 to maintain status quo on kingdom owned PCs.

Btw we did not discuss but I think 7 regions or more for Rex only victory. 6 seems just to few with us already starting with 5 regions effectively.

Nomad solidifies the southeast corner of the map. Again, mobility was the reason to select Nomads over Ancient Ones. Were we not playing pagan I would have selected AN here.

Final pick AM even though I already have the SO in R4 and R3 is open I have enough mages to suck up my valuable gold and feel I am a bit short in the military department. The AM is second only to the dragons in mobility and can easily reach outside there region. Or be used to relieve another kingdom allowing them to each out from there regions.
