I would like to give an actual date but due to juggling two jobs and real life issues, I can only give an estimate of when these changes will be in place. I should be able to get these changes done before Monday April 18 so use that as the ultimate final date though I'm trying to get everything done before Friday's processing.
My current schedule:
(1) finalize website changes and other things for the new Duel games (since I'm about 95% done and want to get that finish before working on something else)
(2) knock out these final changes for The Choosing
(3) go back to developing the Solo game which is still a ways off

Take your time with them. If you'll give us some definite notice of what will changes before Friday's processing (while we have time to adjust) that would be great.

Please do not take any of my comments as a personal insult or as a criticism of the game 'Alamaze', which I very much enjoy. Rather, I hope that my personal insight and unique perspective may, in some way, help make 'Alamaze' more fun, a more successful financial venture, or simply more sustainable as a long-term project. Anyone who reads this post should feel completely free to ignore, disregard, scorn, implement, improve, dispute, or otherwise comment upon its content.

We're just not like that. I might get 5x done in the next seven days than I did in the last seven. Maybe less than last week. Its not like we have a team of support behind to fill in for whatever life brings.
I don't think those few changes should have much impact on current games. If someone was planning on casting Dome on turn 4 or so, that might be an impact. Otherwise, the changes are mainly boons to a few kingdoms in the future and in setups.
Again, Mike isn't an employee, so he gets stuff done when he can, but historically, he gets it done faster than expected.

Made a quick fix for the Troll troop type. If one or more Troll brigades exist in your group, you may issue a regeneration order (#236) where your group may be healed up to 10% attrition. Much like how Phoenix brigades may heal the entire group, Troll brigades now have that ability as well. This change may affect the Necromancer, Sorcerer, Tyrant, and Warlock kingdoms since they are allowed to recruit Trolls.

Well, Trolls just got a lot more attractive!!

Suggestion - Please put an "Updates" section on the new website. Maybe replace the "New Website" section. Add a scrolling list of updates made to the game code.
I like the forum for discussion purposes, but I do not think it's useful to broadcast notification-type information to a player who may be about to make a horrible mistake in their turn because something changed and they didn't realize it.

That is a very valid request. My problem has often been that something important was announced in a forum and then quickly buried with comments. When I come back, I never try reading the last four ir five pages.

We have made this request before (even asking in some cases for a broadcast message to go at the top of turns, for truly important changes), but there has not been any appetite to do this.
I suspect it would have to be a player initiative given the limited time and resources of the staff.

As we have said numerous times, players should not believe we are some conglomerate. Folks, you have two people, one of which is part time, the other coming off cancer surgery, trying to keep things running. This is not Microsoft, and look at all their problems with new products. It's harder than it looks.
We do what we can. Sorry if some are disappointed. I would say, point to another game that does better, but I've done that 10x with no answer.

Rick,
Mike goes through the trouble of typing up the changes already. We are just asking that they be typed somewhere that will be seen by all the players and can be referenced. Even Uncle Mike's Corner would be good.
We know about the limitations. Nobody wants you to work harder.
