I'm afraid I haven't obtained any Key - it would be nice if I had. I have to admit I'm not inclined to relinquish my town. It's not that I'm particularly attached to it, but I don't see much advantage to me in selling it. Gold is simply not the commodity it was when my wizards were less capable. Do you have anything else you might offer?

DuPont - just for kicks I thought I'd reach out and offer to talk. I expect you won't want to negotiate as my terms won't be favorable to you, but I'm open to letting you have back some of what I've taken. I'd keep control of the Steppes of course but would release your prisoners and stop hammering away at you. It's up to you - and yes I realize now I'm the focus of your armies but you're also without assistance.
Up to you of course but just wanted to put it out there. We've worked together many times in the past and I'm sure you understand why I had to step in and prevent you from running away with this.

RD-DE - I'm okay with a deal. You can keep the Steppes and I get Arcania. btw, you might want to worry about the WI as he's got at least level 6 lichs and has been otherwise untouched.

You are quite the silver-tongued devil. For a brief moment there I almost forgot that you were the mastermind behind much of the calamities that have befallen the Ranger people. You almost made me want to like you with those kind words. While I'm not overly thrilled with the negotiations of my Duke, he did the best he could with what he had to work with. I will begrudgingly admit that your terms were quite generous. My army will be moving on, we will take the town and the 2 villages originally outlined in our agreement next month; moving there this day. Since I'm now in the start of summer I would appreciate 15K in food this very day and the next two months so that my people do not starve. While not in our original terms, I would appreciate either you declaring me an ally (so your sea patrols would not affect me) OR simply alerting me to when you'll be sea patrolling over the next 2-3 turns so I can rescue people that have been trapped on islands for far too long. You have my word that the Ranger people will honor our NAP with the Dwarven people so long as you honor your end as well. The same will apply to the Underworld and Red Dragon kingdoms.
