As for threatening you, you're correct. I have done that. However, just because you write in Star Wars character doesn't mean your entire existence on this thread hasn't been one long threat and extortion. In fact, I'm sure you have threatened me more than twice. It's how it works in open diplomacy I suppose? We also haven't factored in the fact that you exposed all of my Arcania holdings- so I wouldn't be so smug. Calling me a jerk (in yoda speak) is also farther than I've gone with anyone, there has been no name calling on my side.
As for me, I gave you a village and have now met your ask to hire the 3 available agents.

No worries at all. I'm having to make very tight decisions with orders right now- more resources available than orders so let's just do a trade this upcoming turn. You trade me 1 food for at least 50,000 gold and I'll send at least that much. That way it only takes 1 order instead of ally and then a gift. I could very likely send more than that but will send at least that much. Sound good?
If you could, I'd ask you in return to use your favor with the UN to cancel out anything the Elf might ask to do me damage. That would be most welcome. Thanks!

That is certainly workable for me - I will trade you one food for at least 50,000 gold. As for the favor with the UN, let's see what if anything gets requested first. I'm not inclined to waste the favor to save a single ambassador for example, and I rather suspect you would agree.

The bid, DE made, is 45,000. To outbid, is 46,000. If outbid, you do, then available again, agents 16, 16, 13 are. But DE, also can outbid. As a special, if both DE and EL, each other outbid, then for three turns, both are safe, instead of two.

I am sending you 100,000 gold this turn (added to any gold my favor buys me as credit). Use your agents on my behalf at 2,000 per level, plus I will have some credit left over.
Choose your own targets so there is no notice. I am paying for attempts, though successes would be great. Any emissary, any wizard.

If the Elf thinks the bidding is over he's mistaken. I have more resources than him so let me know what the next step in this is. Clearly you offered some kind of 3 turn safety option.

Is this really what you want this game to devolve into? Negotiation is always preferable. Not sure how us both spending 100,000+ gold to try to wipe each other's valuable assets out is helping anyone but the Underworld. The game turns into making sure guard orders and wards are put in place every turn. Not a whole lot of fun.
We can trade pop centers in Torvale relentlessly and eventually maybe we'll both meet on the field of battle too. But all we're doing is slowly weakening each other.
As I offered before you attacked let's mediate. Make an offer on splitting Torvale and I'll listen. I don't desire control.
Here's an offer- let me take back Arrisia this turn and I'll leave it at that in Torvale. You could probably even get control with the rest of the pop centers.
