# 502 Choosing Beta 1
Great tracking this down Thudargh. (I will even spell your name right for such a good job)

This has been annoying me for some time, loosing a random Emmy order.

Hi,

I have a question specific to the AN kingdom. When using a Consul to divine do they still have a 10% chance of death or will they they weary like a priestess. If they do have a chance of dying will the alter of holy ancients help that at all.

Consuls like priestesses won't die when divining but they are immune to health effects. Only a priestess' health declines/improves in a turn.

That artifact no longer has an effect for preventing deaths and was changed to be like the other to divine artifact names/locations.

I did notice one oddity with the new order entry system.  Twice now I've had a completed political order disappear when I go to the Summary tab.  It happens intermittently and I haven't been able to consistently reproduce the occurrence.  It seems to be the last political order I enter that can be affected.

Make sure that you're fully completing the order. If the page doesn't redraw itself by displaying your actions in numerical order (which happens after it accepts the action) then it's waiting for you to complete the order. If you switch to another menu then that last order may be missed because it's incomplete. If you haven't done so already, read step #8: http://kingdomsofarcania.net/forum/showt...9#pid32189

The page does redraw itself and displays the action as accepted, which is what makes this weird.  And intermittent errors are really irritating - we may need chalk this up to "Thudargh's hallucinating again" until and unless I can figure out how to reproduce the error.

Okay, I've been able to reproduce it.
Step 1:  Enter a political order.(In this case, I entered four escape orders, two for my king and two for my count)
Step 2:  Page redraws showing the accepted order in the list at the top of the page.  It also shows on the Summary page.
Step 3:  Enter another order on a non-Political the Covert tab.(In this case, I went to the Covert tab and entered an escape order for an agent)
Step 4:  One of the previously accepted political orders is now gone on both the Summary tab and the Political tab.

I did this several times and it happened consistently.  The key appears to be entering orders on a non-political the Covert tab.

***EDIT - It's not entering an order on any other tab, it's entering one on the Covert tab.***

This one was tricky but fairly limited in scope (i.e. when/where it occurs). The problem will only occur for "shared" order numbers that may be displayed across different menu pages (e.g., 385 that may appear on the political and covert pages) but not something like a 720 order which only displays on the military page. Then further limited to only orders that just happen to have the same row number on the page which further limits the occurrence of the error from happening.

If it's preventing you from issuing an important order then try rearranging your actions that you enter between the two menu pages. I was able to prevent the accidental removal of an order by issuing actions for other emissaries/agents while trying to prevent a 385 from having the same "row" number between the two menus. But that's probably not worth doing right now since it's only a test game.

So I'm aware of the issue but ran out of time today to fix it. Will get to it soon I hope.

Might have another recruiting/census issue.  SA took my capital at TP this turn, after which I moved one of my groups there as well.  Since RA has the Trackers trait(very useful trait, btw), I have visibility to the census post SA taking it and moving on.  Last turn the census was 33,460.  Now it is 14,460, which is a difference of 19,000.  I'm guessing SA recruited from the town, but maybe not Zamorans this time?

I(SA) entered my order for this turn(11) if you want to test the census issue some tomorrow. I will be attacking another town and recruiting twice from it, that starts with 44k census.

Can the Jester's influence increase take you over 20 influence and continue to 25? Or is it like 480 and stops at 20?

UM,
I have the Green Dragon Mates and when I attempt to use their flying ability (#727), I get the following error message:

ORDER #727: GROUP DOES NOT HAVE OWNERSHIP OF THE SPECIFIED ARTIFACT (GREAT RED BATS OF THE LOST CAVES OR LAST HERD OF WINGED STALLIONS)

Yes, Jester can take you north of 20.
