193 Anon Steel Rex Fast
#1
I'm confused.  I thought there were no ally declarations before T12 (there was an ally declaration on T1)? And I thought this was M-W-F (appears W-Sat). Or did I miss the rules getting changed somewhere?

1.  Steel - meaning individual play, 12 kingdoms in play from the 15 available
2.  Fast - meaning M-W-F processing
3.  Silent - kingdom assignments known, but no diplomacy allowed
4.  Rex - No secret victory conditions
5.  No ally declarations before turn 12, no trading with other players.

Just wanted some clarification before proceeding with next turn orders.  Also, any rules on HC in terms of Open vs. Secret ballot? Thanks!

These were the agreed-upon terms.

Anonymous
12-players
2 turns per week
Rex only
No 25K gold chivalry bonus (but newer players got the benefit of earlier Kingdom picks)

The "no allies" etc. house rules I devised (which are becoming somewhat common for Warlords and Team games) are NOT in effect in this game, because it is an individual anonymous game. In these types of games, it is sometimes desirable for Kingdoms that share a region to (loosely) work with each other and ally, lest they be horribly disadvantaged compared to the Kingdoms that don't share a region.

Aarrgghh. Did we actually have a drop on Turn 3 of a perfectly viable DW position before people even took regions?
Perhaps no orders were ever entered and the computer dropped the position on T3?
Mike, is there a way the computer can let you know about missed orders so we can get a standby next time?
Dropping on T3 really changes things to the benefit of neighbors....

Actually, my P3 just successfully cast "Dispel Player". It's my new secret weapon! But no cause for concern........ unless of course you cross me in the game..... like the DW did! Tongue

I am guessing the DW never entered a turn. The stand-by system needs some rework for sure and will effect both 2nd and 3rd cycle. I would think miss one turn get an automated message asking if your still playing miss a second turn with no response the the message the kingdom should get a new owner if viable before the third turn is missed. Perhaps even a leader level and wizard level to make the kingdom still somewhat worthwhile after missing two turns.

Somebody picked DW and must have dropped it.   I am pretty sure I selected DW above the position I got.

Raise your hand if you think the RD and GN  will get a boost...

Thank goodness. Now the RD can have a full region and the GN can have free reign to increase influence. That should help those teams get up to par Sad.

Agreed I was happy at least it was a semi shared region and did not leave like R9 fully open for the easy picking.

I think RD got the biggest boost. Then GN. And likely who ever the RD was planning to make into lunch.

I also think of the possible kingdoms to have drop DW was one of the few with at least a small ripple.

good points, at least it affected  a region where there were 2 kingdoms.
