All,
I guess it is time for me to say something.
Yes it was I who called the great lords of Alamaze together to discuss the current crisis. They agreed that something had to be done to stop the Ranger from declaring victory. At that time a short termed NAP was achieved and each kingdom chose where best to use their resources. As of this turn, the crisis has been averted. Nothing more to be said other than they did a great job of putting past differences behind them to work towards a common cause.
Echoing JF, we all know that once someone pulls ahead and looks like they have a chance for the prize, they become a legitimate target. Whether it is 1 vs 1, 3 vs 1, or 10 vs 1, it doesn't really matter. The object then becomes to knock that player out of contention.
Yes I did share a summary of the email, but never the email itself. It basically came out as I was offered gifts to lay down arms. Now I do not know about the rest of you, but I do not roll over and let someone else have my region. It was then that I felt that the other players had a right to know that their game was going to end and I wanted to give them a chance to do something about it. It is what I would want if someone else were ever in the same position. I just do not like the idea of spending 15 or more turns developing wizards, militaries and courts only for a game to end without ever getting a chance to use them.
I will say I was not the first to know there was a dark cloud on the horizon, but I was the one to take the initiative to contact others. I also felt it was not right for me to make the podium on what Airborne worked so hard to achieve.
In my opinion, this is what diplomacy is all about, reaching out to work and share with others. Sometimes it goes wrong, but it can also go very right.
If people are tired of 3 on 1s then they might want to give TITANS a chance. I can not say I like being 'ganged up on', but it is a 15 player contest. It is going to happen. At least in a Diplomacy contest, a player can reach out to ask for help. However, in an Anon contest a player has no chance. If anyone who has ever studied history knows, wars are rarely ever fought fairly. Look at the World Wars as great examples.
As for 183, I have had a good time working with the others. I look forward to working with many of you again in my next diplomacy game.
LT this was never a personal attack against you. I would have done the same thing if it had been UM, Rick, HH or whomever. If anything, I would look at this as it took a concerted effort by six individuals to stop you. Now that is a great compliment in my book.
Thanks for your attention.

I am the greatest swordsman that ever lived. Say, um, can I have some of that water?
