Fantastic scene and inspirational - its a big part of why I want to move to individual dragons in Kingdoms of Arcania (should we all live so long).  So maybe five dragons in the world, each a bit different but capable of destroying a town on their own.

Something like Red, Black, Green, Blue, White dragons in Ad&D and Timat rules them all? Or the money colored dragons ruled by the Platinum dragon?

Not likely blue.  Or white.  Probably gold and silver.  Platinum seems a bit pretentious.  Anyway, that's a ways down the road.

Smaug and other dragons in Middle Earth dominated from the first age of man to the 3rd. I am pretty sure 183 is still in the "2nd" age of man. This is time where the fire dragons go forth and decimate and pillage even going so far as to displace Dwarves and Elves alike from there strongholds. Bard and his lucky arrow not withstanding!

I don't "nullify" agreements.  I just don't ever make agreements again with someone who "nullifies" them.

I really don't think it will be a problem this game.

Good Hunting!

You made peace with me and then said, "Oh by the way, if you come into R7 I have to oppose you."

I made game-long peace with you without any further qualifiers and/or stipulations.  Since you did not tell me about your R7 mutual defense pact I entered into an agreement with you expecting you to keep your word with me.  We shall see?

You should have told me about your R7 defense pact BEFORE you and I agreed upon game-long peace.

Now it appears you have to either break your word with me or break your word with the UN.  You put yourself in that position.

If you do break your word with me, I shall understand but shall remember that in our future dealings.

If you break your word with UN, then that is up to him as to how he takes it.

Morgan Kane found himself in a similar situation when he thought a NAP expired on turn 10 when he had actually agreed to turn 12.  He dropped the game rather than break his word to either me or Gray Mouser.

It appears to me that you have only been a vassal to UN this contest.  He somehow got you to agree to cede control of R7 to him when Runnimede goes to GN almost every game because GN has quite the advantage over UN in the initial phases of the game.  And even if GN doesn't have all the advantages, the advances to the GN kingdom are easier to complete during conflict than are the advances to the UN (due to scarcity of orders when UN is in conflict).

Anyhow, I was not going to tip my hand to you when you told me about your mutual defense pact AFTER our agreement was concluded.

I have no problem with the GN player.  He found himself in a difficult position and was upfront about how there was a potential conflict between his agreements and left me the option to back out.  This anticipatory breach is not ideal but I can deal with it.

You simply broke your word because you no longer cared about your community reputation!  I will never again reach an agreement with you!

To all, this is why I quit all games...SINESTRO. Just wanted all to know LT has him pegged all the way! This guy ruined the entire alamaze experience for me. Again I apologize for dropping all games but I will not play a game and take personal email attacks lightly.

If you look on the forum list, Sinestro has apparently been banned, probably for those very same types of personal attacks.

Zim, as someone who has different game-related concerns than you, I nevertheless really hope that you won't be chased away by one person who seems to be outside of the bounds of the rest of the community. Too many great people here for that.

Regardless, you have all my best!

Thanks, but I am soured for a while. I deleted everything I had on alamaze. I really like playing but I am out. Good luck to all and I will always follow and say good things about the game itself. I am just glad everyone see's what my reason was. I dropped some games I had a very good chance of winning for once Smile.

I still don't understand how one player in a single game can cause someone to drop all of their games but I guess it happens. I'd say, if people irritate you then play anonymous and be your own boss Smile

The mass fallout from one player's thin skin is the real crime. Left a ton of people with entirely screwed up games that they had invested months in. Including a team game where the whole team was sunk with an unceremonious drop. Very poor form. I'm sure the company and many in the community would welcome this player back and I guess its his prerogative to someday return but I would not play in a game with him again for fear of a repeat performance.

Any 'offense' that they player endured sounds a little ridiculous compared with the damage to many others that the mass dropping caused. My $.02

Your 2 cents Drogo, but unless you are in the know do not post stupid comments on something you do not understand.
