Genger changes
#1
Guys,
I think I remember reading somewhere that players can change a character's gender on turn 1, king to a queen and vice versa.  Does this still stand and if so, how do you do it?

On the Order Checker page, type in the new ruler's name plus a space and -F. The latter is to designate female and will convert your king into a queen. This is only valid on turn 1 and the Ancient Ones may not change the name of any of their consuls (yet).

Thx Mike.
And congrats on the win in 173.

Does this count as an order?

Is this the correct way to enter it:

__|_____#_____|_A_|_B_|
1)| Bruce Jenner |___| -F |

1) is the 1st order line.

You type the ruler name in the ruler box I believe.

So to turn a King into a Queen it would be:

Rulers Name:
Bruce Jenner -F

It would be Caitlyn Jenner -F, but only if your king started out as Bruce Jenner.

It's not an order, and we intend to have a form in 3rd Cycle for T1 where a player can change the name and gender I suppose (although weird if all the Amazons are male - hope that wasn't politically incorrect) of every character, for a $5 fee.  I still think it would be more meaningful from a game strategy perspective, if not PC, to have gender differences within the game.  But I'm not pushing for it as it doesn't seem the player base needs it.  But without it, why have two genders?

Why bother changing the names in the first place? It's all for flavor.

Well, it's for role playing. I often create little stories about my kings (and occasional queen) just for fun. I don't see the need for gender differences, but I like being able to pick boy or girl.
