#300 - Experimental
(UN) Am I off a day, or is 300 supposed to have run today?

Just got an email from someone in the game saying it ran today and shows me as dropped. I never sent a drop notice and I did send in a turn. And yes I checked it numerous times.

Strange, now what?

The UN didn't drop out but was eliminated with his last pc taken.

Actually, it was my wizard that destroyed his water village at OR which took him out of the game. Which reminds me that I need to add an end-of-game report for kingdoms that were eliminated so they can see their last turn and what ultimately did them in.

Sorry VballMichael, you played a decent game but you killed enough of my guys for my liking (warlord, 2 marshals, 3+ generals) so I had to do it...

No hard feelings at all. You targeted me and played very well and attacked 1 v 1 which I appreciate. I fought back as well as I could, but your armies were too strong. Good luck.

But yes, a last turn to tell me that I was out would be helpful. And maybe the text should say eliminated instead of dropped or removed Smile.

All that gold I sent the underworld for training and never once did I get repaid with hiring some of my engineers.  I do hope the damage to destroy population centers spell still has a fixed amount on it.

What happens to the UN HC seat?

I have to say, I'm not crazy about this new rule of eliminating somebody when they have no pop centers left.

And on the same turn with no turn results....

Keep in mind #300 was/is an experimental game and not "official".  Lots of changes here to in part demonstrate what can be done.  It really was remarkable how quickly Uncle Mike got something close to Alamaze going.

We still have work to do on the new platform.  Some combat issues, some other stuff, but it sets the stage for a leap forward.  I want to remind players that no one on our team is making much, if any, money.  Appreciation keeps the blood flowing, so be gentle in any criticism and find ways to express positive thoughts.  It helps more than you might think. Reminder that no one was charged anything for #300, and it didn't count against service level slots.

Still wondering why no one mentions how almost any other PBEM game hasn't changed in decades and still charges maybe $10 a turn, one turn every two weeks.  The only time someone even mentioned another game when prodded to do so, it was something about a WWII game, that started four games in five years and charged at minimum 3x what we do.  We started 100 games last year.  But we do need to attract more players.  If everyone brought in one new player, we could continue to develop comfortably for as long down the road as we can see.   Not that it would make us rich, but it would be enough.

I have to disagree, as at this point you were probably beaten pretty badly and all you want to do is hang around and just be a pest to the guy that beat you. I am not saying you yourself but most players would probably just do that for revenge to mess up that guys game (that took you out).

Like most any game when you are beaten you are out! Look we have Secret Victory Condition's and all other kingdoms lose whenever that happens no matter their situation or what turn, whether its turn 5, 10, or 20. I myself find that to suck, you might be playing a great game but your SVC might be harder then someone else's or you are getting attacked and the other guy is not so he can just rack up points? But that is the rule...end of game, there is no 2nd chance? Reward the good play by the other Kingdom do not reward a guy beaten so he cannot just harass the other player. Just my opinion.

I do think it makes for an interesting version of the game.  I am in favor of whatever appeals to the player base.  This is one way to set up the game.  It may become a favorite for some.

On the opposite side of this I am part of the private Primeval where we are playing for total artifacts controlled at game's end.  It is fun too!
