Attrition
#1
I have a group with 8 kingdom brigades and 40% attrition. Could use some advice on how best to fix that Smile. Was curious how attrition could be higher than a brigade (i.e., would have thought 1 of 8 brigades would go away at about 12.5% attrition).

No, you should order 235 once or twice. Save yourself some gold. Unless you are the TR.

If you're not using them for a turn or two, and the kingdom brigades are better than veterans, I'd recruit twice into that group, then the following turn 235 out the recruits. It'll preserve your kingdom brigades and should bring you down to 15% attrition.

If your troops aren't worth much, then I agree with DuPont just to 235 them out. If you do 3 235s you'll have around 4% attrition assuming my math skills aren't as bad as they normally are.

As Cipher has posted in the known issues, the brigade elimination criteria is being adjusted. When in place, the highest attrition will be as Daredevil suggests. Brigades will be eliminated more than presently so less need for #235 orders. BTW, the algorithms for leader death and promotion are also being reevaluated. Likely Unusual Sighting combats will be more deadly. Promotion to Warlord will be more difficult.

If this occurs it will significantly impact the GI and RD. It will make the valuable kingdom brigades vulnerable to elimination before they are protected by a 235.

I am not saying that is bad thing. Just that it will alter the balance in the game a bit.

The TR will likely be impacted as well in a major way.

The brigade elimination is proportional to brigades present and inverse proportional to defense value. So if a RD had a defense value of 7000 and a Wyvern brigade had a defense value of 2500, and a group had 1 RD and 3 WY, and lost two brigades, they would both be Wyvern brigades.

Good to know. Thanks for the details.

Wanted to revisit this thread. I'm noticing my kingdom brigades are disappearing a lot more frequently than the cannon fodder I've recruited to protect them. How do we make sure that our kingdom brigades are protected? Do you have to do 235 a lot more frequently?
