First Exploratory Steel

I'm pleased. I am leaning toward Exploratory becoming the new norm, but will be interested in feedback on this one before making that happen. I think Exploratory could really open up the map and create quite a few new strategies.

My other main project has been the revamping of the Early Strategic Objectives and Secret Victory Conditions, which will keep Cipher quite busy for awhile as well. This game likely will have no SVC as I have not yet even turned over the new conditions to Cipher, The Architect of Alamaze.

My question/concern would be how are those kings that start with a HP be balanced now that they don't get a HP. Do they start with an extra 18,000 gold? This would seem fair since you are creating an unbalanced condition by penalizing them. While those kings that never start with a HP see no new penalty at all.

Or you can simply try the game, potentially unbalanced and all, and after it ends comment to the game designer as to how the kingdoms played in this format. March out into the unknown and enjoy the unique variations being provided to us. I greatly appreciate that we are constantly being offered new variations and truly don't care about the nuances of balance down to the Nth degree at all.
