It is starting to get a little old. It doesn't come across as good natured ribbing anymore....

Please do not take any of my comments as a personal insult or as a criticism of the game 'Alamaze', which I very much enjoy. Rather, I hope that my personal insight and unique perspective may, in some way, help make 'Alamaze' more fun, a more successful financial venture, or simply more sustainable as a long-term project. Anyone who reads this post should feel completely free to ignore, disregard, scorn, implement, improve, dispute, or otherwise comment upon its content.

Agreed. I'm done with my contributions to it. Sorry joombs.

It's 100% good natured ribbing. He's actively my natural enemy and we have been trading emails/comments since before turn 1. I enjoyed his pictures of my TR navy going down in flames along with my 5 reinforcement bridages because that was a good move on his part (and the GN). If I thought that feelings were actually getting hurt, comments would have stopped long ago. My guess is that we are all big boys here, and its all in fun. Jumbie, you're still invited to Kevin's wedding.

Good. Glad that's settled. Sometimes it's hard to tell and we are a small community to start with. Smile

If anyone thought that song was me quitting, they weren't listening to the words. You've got to give it a 'close reading' as we literature majors like to say.

The song's all about defiance and not playing the game the way you're expected to play it and winning in the end. That's why the refrain is 'I will sing this victory song.'

Now that the TR's gone and pulled a Napoleon and stranded his army in the east with no support, he's made my victory song even more likely.

Regarding the ribbing: I don't think the wisecracks themselves are the issue, more it was the possibility that the verbal jabs were a sign of bluefile picking on me in game as well. Especially after the vendetta he pursued in his other game over a village.

Given that he's my natural enemy in game 103 and our respective allies are natural enemies to boot, I never felt like there was anything personal going on, but others might not have realized the circumstances and gotten an uncomfortable vibe.
