The Choosing 1st Full-On
#51
And in the latest entry for the "experienced players still make rookie mistakes" category, it's always nice to forget you have a High Council issue up to raise your own influence. Sigh.

I have handed off this game to Tomag Ironfist. You can contact him for any DE related negotiations. Thanks.

With turn 17 over, something interesting is forming in the south. My Gnomish spies reported that the Muad'Dib has arisen from the sands and directed his mighty sandworms to come forth and swallow pop centers whole! The Southern Sands is being attacked by an unseen and invulnerable foe! Towns, cities, villages, none are safe. Soon the region will be a barren wasteland, what can a consul do against such might? Run, hide, cry...

The Council of the Druids respond:

Gnomish Despot - There are powerful forces in the land that respect the value of sentient life and the plight of those hard working commoners who have been attacked by a foul, evil regime. You have invoked Muad'Dib, but Muad'Dib was a hero fighting for the oppressed and downtrodden. Your rampaging wizards represent the opposite of Muad'Dib and are a plight on the land. Instead of Muad'Dib, your actions invoke another famous person from a different alternate universe - I think he was known as "The Donald". Taunt the old ones as you wish, while you burn women and children for your amusement, for you may have a very limited time left to enjoy such pastimes.

It seems that the AN has quite a few friends in this game. Was 3 vs 1, now perhaps a 4th joining in some way? The Gnomes are tough though. Just wished my agents had more luck in taking out his wizards the other turn. Though I did have some favor go my way in capturing his emmys. Quite a few of them actually! Doing 150 then 155 in the same turn (with an invisible group which won't block emmys/capitals from relocating) so got a second chance at his guys. That must of hurt. Though I'm really starting to dislike that Magic Immune (Death) trait. It's hampering me more than you know and had to change tactics a bit. Oh well, bring on the 4th ally anyway, the Gnomes are game...

This post TERRIFIED me! My Battle.net name was ScurvyDog back in my Starcraft II days. I am referred by that name a lot, and with it being an uncommon saying, my first thought was that you were referring to me! ---NO! You have it wrong! It wasn't me I swear! Big Grin
