Capital destroyed, WA responsible. But alive, Yoda still is. Good agents, Yoda still has.

UN-WA

Flexible, Yoda always is. No whining, from Yoda you will hear, about WA and BL, on a newbie, ganging up. But peace, Yoda asks. Immunity from agents, for rest of game, Yoda offers. What say you?

UN-EL

Attacking me, BL is, in Oakendell. Protection, in the past, you offered. No fighting anyway, right now doing, are you? Help against BL, will you? Favor, again, owe you we will. Helping, no one else is. RD busy with DE. DW busy with RA. So poor Yoda, alone is, against BL and now maybe WA.

UN-DW

RA Queen, our guest, she is. 25,000 gold, you offered?

If I ever coordinate with someone against you I promise you will recognize the difference!  Hell, if I ever attack you alone without simultaneously fighting another Iron-Willed player you will also recognize a difference.  You don't even have fully half of my attention focused upon you.  Since I can't destroy population centers your town at MC and villages at both NR and TA are safe from me.  All diplomacy has been in this Forum, so you can see there is no "ganging up."

Mysterious Yoda,

We are sorry to hear of your capital's destruction. Please know that we send our deepest condolences.

As for business, we will indeed pay you 25,000 gold for the deposed Ranger Queen.

Best,

Puissant Scarlett,

As one of his best customers, I am sympathetic to the plight of the Underworld. It appears you have now exacted a healthy measure of retribution for his blackmail of your predecessor. Additionally, you yourself appear to have been in a similar position to him just a month or two ago, with an unexpected move against you, only to be able to negotiate a mutually satisfactory peace. So my hope is that you will have some empathy for his situation.

Although he may be an easier target than some, due to his lack of experience and Kingdom's lack of a strong military, I am actually somewhat sensitive to those factors, and accordingly have had a desire to help him.

Would you consider relenting? His starting offer is a fine one, for any Wizard Kingdom who does not specialize in the dark magics of undeath, and perhaps you could even extract some future services as well.

I would consider it a personal favor, and would also be willing to help negotiate or mediate or whatever you might be interested in.

Warmly (but not as warm as you),
Grundun, Chief Diplomat for the Dwarves

Good Regent,

Although it may be naive of me, I am hopeful that the change in leadership of your honorable Kingdom may allow for negotiations of peace. To this point, we have engaged in a war of words, and the type of political and covert manipulations that have long characterized the game of thrones. And although your troops have attacked various hamlets that have sworn allegiance to me, Dwarves and Rangers have not yet shed each other's blood on the battlefield.

And yet we now stare across the waves at each other, with my army outside of your capital, and your army outside of my city. We are at the brink.

Shall we proceed as we have, to a war until one of us is utterly destroyed? Or shall we blink and make an agreement?

Our non-negotiable desire right now is Control of Synisvania. Although we believe we clearly have the upper hand, we would nevertheless be happy to see you with slightly over a third of the region, in other words enough to get you to the beginning of Substantial, along with a peace treaty for the remainder of the struggle among you, me, and if they are willing to join, the Reds and the Underworld.

Given my commitment to the Reds to send food and gold from his holdings that I am taking directly, I suspect you would actually have as much or more production from the region than we Dwarves would, and I would also add that I would be glad to send you the additional food you might need during your summer to support your troops.

Finally, we would of course agree to a mutual release of prisoners. We currently hold Count Richard Shearheart, Agents Darkblade and Whiteblade, and later this month, Queen Alexis herself. We would also maintain as completely confidential two remaining pieces of information that are damaging to your Kingdom.

I have done my utmost here to present a fair deal, I believe some would even call it a good deal for you. I hope it goes without saying that I am not doing this out of weakness, but rather out of a genuine desire for peace.

Sincerely,
Grundun, Chief Diplomat for the Dwarves

OOC: Lich Scouts, I guess the Elven push for you to explore the kinder, gentler side of the dark magics is paying off! Smile
