Are combat spells still modified for target size?

Spell density was removed because wizard kingdoms were being too successful in Alamaze and Rick wanted to smooth out the average curve towards the military kingdoms. We'll see if the changes work in their favor...

Interesting, UM. I have two questions.

1) Is the half loss divider for spells in affect for PC battles as well?

2 Is the half loss divider for spells in affect for Wall of Flame?

1) yes, combat spells are more effective against popcenters as well

2) yes, wall of flame (constitutes as a combat spell) is more effective now since only 1/2 the opposition's defense (loss divider) is at play

As I mentioned earlier, the last update had a bunch of tweaks regarding magic effectiveness, some better, some worse, to balance things out better. I personally think that it is more imperative now to develop higher-level wizards to take advantage of the more powerful combat spells (past Earthquake). You'll need them to stay in line with the stronger kingdoms. See my post about it here:

UM,

I checked the rulebook but did not see if there is a limit to the number of brigade types allowed in a group. I know it use to be 10. Is that still the case?
