Often a divination statement will say something had a haze to it.  This indicates there is something there but it is invisible.  It could be groups or p.c.'s so maybe it applies to artifacts too.

One different way to find a hidden PC is if you attack a Pc or they attack one of yours. You can cast a ward speed on the emissary from different groups at different locations. If the ward works they are within 10 squares if it does not work they are outside of 10 squares. Of corse the Emmy needs to be captured or escape back to the capital. But this for sure can quickly narrow down an area to find the capital

What is the list of kingdoms that start with a hidden capitol?  Can someone post this information here please?

There are 8 of them.  You can find them on the kingdom traits matrix, which is under the 3rd cycle tab in the orders page.  Then you need to check the Maelstrom notes as SO and WA lost the secret trait.

I'll try to list them from memory:
AM,AN, AT, DE, DU, IL, PI, and UN

I must admit I had to go back to the matrix myself after recalling only 6 of them.

Ok, I just did this and it works "find hidden capitals" search engine maximize!. It took me two ward spells to narrow his capital down to 5 squares. Then I did an eagle. Eagle no bueno, I didn't know that as it says its a level 7 agent- nope. But it did show one artifact, so 4 squares. Then I had to move an agent down there, and disco.

Careful be you with hidden capital if prisoners you have-- Yoda
