Latest is we are to expect about a 300 minute outage on Monday but unknown when during the day.
Of course, the required staff for us doesn't work on the weekend.
Anyway, current understanding is don't rely on Monday to get orders in, get your orders in today. We are expecting server turned back on later and at least on Tuesday. Mike and I are working on a migration plan for after November 15.

Thanks for the updates RY Vor and Uncle Mike too. We all really appreciate how you both do your best to stay on top of things and keep the games running smoothly. Now if we can just grow this player base.

I've made decent progress this past week in configuring the new server and we're about ready to make the transition of Alamaze's files.
The effort will require us to re-register the Alamaze websites (URLs') which may take up to 72 hours in order to redefine them to the new server. The process is out of our control where we specify the new server's location and then wait for the internet authorities to make the transition of our domains.
Since we don't know exactly when the transition of our websites will occur, we need to shutdown our current server in order to prevent data corruption of our games. If we don't shutdown, saving your orders may end up on the old server while other games may be on the new one.
So everyone has until Sunday Nov 10 before noon EST to finalize their orders or to hit the ready button to execute a final turn before I shutdown the server. You may want to plan on a few days of downtime while the transition takes place and for us to verify that our automated system works properly on the new server.

Mike, if the turn date is after the deadline, could we just hold off on that turns orders until it switches servers?

We ran into a situation with the new server but we are still scheduled to shutdown the old server on Sunday. We need to do this in order to migrate the websites over to the new server and that takes time and preparation. We also need time to test and verify everything together which takes at least a day or longer to do. So plan on all games being temporarily down for a few days while we make this transition.

As far as the turn clock, is it still running during this process or will it just pick up where it left off on the new server?
