What are good Standing Orders?

True. 9 standing orders for 970 is a lot.

I think 7 is the correct number.

The rules say you get 4 SO's plus 3 per region you control. Anyone know if that's been changed?

Wait, we get HOW MANY standing orders now?

Did this change from 2 as the base and 1 per region?

I always thought it was 2 initially plus 2 for every region you control. I'll feel stupid if that's not the case, but that's hardly a new thing.

Oh boy...you learn something new every day. I coulda SWORE it was 3 standing orders, plus two for each region you control...all games are "2nd cycle" currently, right?

I have been playing for over a year now under my assumption above...wow.

I've been operating on 3, plus 3 per region. Seems like we need to get a clear answer from the boss folks Smile.

It is 4 + 3 per region. At least one of my kingdoms is doing 7 right now.

I recently (after playing the game for 20 years) started doing 410 as a standing order. How many times have you played where no issue was brought up? Even spending just spending 500 gold on is worth it. You can always bid another 410 during your turn if you want to really get your issue up that turn. Since I have been doing this I got several bids through.

Another thing to keep in mind is that creating a standing order and canceling one are two orders so as long as you leave the standing order up for 2 turns you break even. Anything past 2 turns is gravy.
