Initial Thoughts So Far On New Release
#11
So I'm going to be perhaps somewhat childish and complain about something. The Deathknighs plague effect. I'm going to start with blunt part before getting into why - in any future games, if I find myself in conflict with them, I'm going to instantly quit. I won't play against them. It's not fun and life's too short to play a game that frustrates you. But as long as they have this plague effect, I just won't do it.
There's no other kingdom in the game that has something comparable - it doesn't require even an action and there's no defense against it. And it can be done across four regions at a time. Yes, you can cast Raise Census, I suppose (which, with a 25% failure rate works out to the same numbers that die) but that's using a high level mage against something that requires nothing from the opposing player. Nor would I ever play the DK myself.
As long as this ability exists in any form - even if it were reduced to 5% instead of the 15%, I'm just not going to play. Not with that kingdom on the board. Sorry. That ability goes or I go.

I played as the DK versus DuPont, and the DK kingdom already has a lot going for it, but the plague thing sucks. It doesn't need help in the military category, and the DK plague thing just rains on your parade if you are fighting them. I know that you can do the jug thing, but that isn't sustainable.
Maybe do something like causing a 5-10% loss of food in the region with a DK brigade, but the plague thing just sucks. And, with the PC's census gets to 1000 they can use a fallen angel spell to wipe it off the face of Alamaze.

I don't understand, it just means you can't recruit from PC's right? Why can't you just use 565's or go outside the region? Are there greater implications?
