Attacking your own PC's
#1
Is it standard practice to keep attacking your own PC's to raise up troops and leaders?  What about Agent orders against your other kingdom in Confederation games?

I haven't been doing this because it felt a little like a game exploit but I'm curious if other people are using these tactics.

I see other people do it all the time. I have done it myself. It does feel a little like cheating but I jumped off the bridge with everybody else

I usually recruit them into neutrality, then attack.

To discourage this, I could increase the amount of resource lost upon conquest. Currently, it's about 1-10% loss in food/gold every time a pc is conquered by attacking, but that could be raised higher. That way, if they continue attacking their pc's after popping them neutral several times, they'll have less and less food/gold from their pc's. Let me know if this is a problem that needs to be addressed...

I have never done this since I think it is not in the spirit of the game. You are essentially attacking your own people just to get your troops experience.
Maybe it lowers regional reaction if you attack a PC and do a 320 order the same turn to that same PC. Or maybe you just can't do a 320 to that PC that turn - there is no good reason in a single player game to do that.
If that does not work, then yes, start making attacks hurt more, although that is a big hammer to solve a limited issue.

I don't like this solution. I have never attacked my own PC or used agents against my other team in Confed - the closest I have come is getting one team in confed to use diplomacy on my other kingdom's PC to consolidate in a region. I don't know how hard the coding is but if a player attacks their own PC in a region, I think there should be a 33% chance of each PC they own in that region flipping to neutral or Human controlled. Don't punish those of us who don't cheat.
