If agents are captured from the fall of a city, are they automatically killed? The reason I ask is that I'm trying to issue a #385 (escape) order for a "missing" agent, and the order entry website is not letting me. It lets me select the order, but then the order disappears when I save orders.

Agents can escape. Not sure why you are having that problem.

Could the other player have a standing order to kill all prisoners?

Yes, but that shouldn't make the order disappear. If your guy is dead, in the next turn, you'd simply get a report saying you have no agent with that name. You won't know if he'd dead until you try to have him escape.

No, they may just be a prisoner. You won't know until you order an escape and it will either say that they did not escape (in which case they are still being raped in somebody's dungeon) or that no such person exists (in which case they are dead).

Thanks guys. So, the problem is maybe user error then because I cannot figure out how to have the web-based order entry allow me to attempt an escape. I see how to do it for emissaries, and I see how to do it for agents, but when I "save" the orders, the escape order I just entered disappears.
Is it a bug with the order entry website?

Sometimes it helps if you log out and clear your cache? That's all I can come up with. It should let you enter the order.

I figured it out. It wasn't a caching issue. The problem is I was not populated the "Gold" drop-down. So, it would show up as an order, but because the order was in error, it would go away when I clicked save.
