Wall of Flame

It does not. As I recall it tells you that in the spell description. Most other spells work just fine but usually the "Run Away" Monty Python tactic is far superior to any spell Smile

Yes it says that in the last sentence. Any helpful advice aside from run away? I automatically think defend tac 1 anyways for dragons but they have a huge intercept range and all you are really doing is delaying the inevitable with that tactic.

If you have RD groups running about, then get your groups to water squares where dragons can't follow (another reason to build those cheap fleets). RD brigades are superior to just about anything on the board (Hill Giants and Mammoths might give them pause) so even a small RD Division may be able to equal someone else's full Army. I'm not sure "what" you cast will be as important as simply having a greater combat value and more P3+ wizards present. Obviously, if you can hit them with Summon Death that would be devastating against anything save Great Bats (but if memory serves RD might be Death Resistant so there's some luck there). If you have a huge force stack Valor on to it. A lot of Shields. Stun/Kill their Leaders. Bring lots of magical weapons. Wind Storm and Flash Flood might help too.

I would agree if you have RD groups flying around that are afraid to fight you have likely loss. I can recall have some 40k+ vs PC RD divisions at one point. That of course does not mean you should be looking to fight that 1DW slow turtle crawler. Instead you could lead that 1DW away from his mountain then race him back to take his PC after you split into 5 groups of town killers.

Thank you so much. I think the Dragons are also immune to Flash Flood, too bad. They are 33% resistant to death magic and kill leader/wizard so they are formidable.

I'm starting to get concerned for your sleep, Thunderbolt.   "The Red Dragons...zzz...The Red Dragons...zzz..." Wink

I think the Red Dragons are about 8 or 9 in Valhalla currently.  Obviously we have a discussion going on about relative kingdom strengths.  Some laments for the military.  Well, the Red Dragons pretty much define that corner of the personality matrix.  They are the strongest military, it is not a secret.   (And they will be gone in Maelstrom.)  So with mage kingdoms all in the top 8 and the Red at about 8 or 9, we have to take down the Red some?   Long time players will remember in 2nd Cycle the Red Dragon was near the bottom.

Again, a problem with the Anonymous games is the game was designed with diplomacy, actually, inspired partly by the game Diplomacy.  The Red Dragons are dispersed.  In diplomacy games, they generally extort gold and land for "protection" from their neighbors, who they then leave alone or ally with.  If someone is in the vicinity of the Red Dragon and doesn't try to come to an arrangement, and is just waiting for him to show up in force, yeah, that's not so good.

Thank goodness i set my alarm clock! lol. Thanks for checking in on this thread. I realize from reading other peoples comments including role playing diplomatic exchanges, those individuals playing RD appear to be acting out with their newfound libido/elan that comes with the most powerful starting military. 'Starting' emphasized. Knowing full well that my antagonist may be reading this, i can only say that i am exploring all methods of warfare to combat this threat. The thing about me is that i tend to become more stubborn when extortion methods are attempted on me. Now if this were real life i would likely just give him that damn village or free reign on HC issues lol.
