Pirates & ESO
#1
I seek clarification on the Pirates ESO. The special rules reads:

  • Due to our kingdom's special nature, we receive an automatic +2 points towards achieving our Early Strategic Objective (ESO).

How, precisely, do I utilize this? Do I go for a Minor ESO and, if I get 3 points, get rewarded for a Major ESO? Or would I be stuck with just three reward points?

Or do I go for a Major ESO and only have to achieve 3 points?

I do realize that I am probably overthinking this, but I'd appreciate guidance.

Thanks,

per JF in last beta you receive 2 extra points. so you can go for a major and attempt 5 points of value but only need to succeed in 3 of them.

I believe if you went for a minor and accomplished all 3 points you would gain no value out of the PIs ability and would just gain the minor.

In short go for the Major ESO.

I had this with TY and tested it

You sign up for major 5 points but only need to achieve 3 points of the conditions to still get you major ESO

Or sign up 4 points of minor and you only need to get 1 point to achieve your minor ESO
