Map by mail
#1
Curious, years and years ago, Alamaze sent out Large maps in the mail, it was very easy to write on and it was colored. Rick, are you able to create these and do this and charge our accounts for the maps. I prefer this over printing out a map on a piece of paper or a program.

I would love one of those and have it laminated.

Hey Sinestro,

Long time no hear.  Welcome back!

Yes, the old maps make me a bit nostalgic too.  I can still remember going to the professional printer that had the capability to make them five color one page (big deal back then) and he'd have to spend a couple hours to set it up correctly, and printings were always days to weeks getting produced, and were expensive.

I would assume you could still take the image of the map (http://fallofromegame.com/alamazeorders/...lassic.gif) on thumb drive to a printer and specify the size you want there.

Yes. I took a flash drive to a Kinko's or Fed Ex store or something like that and had a map made about a foot by 18 inches and laminated so I could write on it with a marker. It was maybe 30 bucks?

I tried this, but once you make it large, like the old mailed ones, everything starts to blur and you can't make out the lines or much else. Resolution needs to be better in order to enlarge it.

I still have the map from the early days. It is the one UM used for the snapshot test game 5136.
