New Unusual Encounters

Interesting internal dialogue, while I want to make sure Mike gets The Choosing done before he takes on his new external assignment, he wants me to create new stuff before he goes away for the main part until perhaps August.

So just in a couple hours of thought I would add these encounters (and some to change not yet identified as to what they would change to as of this writing.


Additional Sightings for The Choosing

Mounts:


·        2 Red Elk sightings, fine sighting, as per customization option (fine gold)


·        2 Champion Stallions sightings, fine sighting, as per customization option (fine gold)


·        Green Dragon Mates: Tornad and Sylva, one encounter.  Provide +15 points in Unusual Encounters, grants flight to a patrol, does 1000 in each combat phase in group or PC battles, provides +15 points in Threaten and Diplomacy.  To acquire in their sighting, the patrol and its kingdom must have: 13+ Influence, Tolerant or Friendly in the region of the sighting, either a Marshal+ or P3+ involved in the encounter, and the Patrol for the encounter have 60+ points for the encounter, pre-wizard spells but including the warriors and any trait bonuses.  Considered an Excellent artifact for status points.  (Excellent sighting)


 


Personal Encounters:


·        Princess Xynia of Imperial Blood.  Provides +1 Influence, and Xynia joins the kingdom, unless another emissary of the kingdom starts with XY.  Gain +1 to regional reaction in the region of the encounter, up to Friendly.  She is imprisoned in a Superior class sighting, with superior guardian and gold.  She is relocated to the capital if successful.


·        Power 3 Wizard Gray Nemrond.  Will have spell lists of the kingdom acquiring.  He is imprisoned in a Superior class sighting, with superior guardian and gold.  Joins the group if a free wizard slot, or replaces an adept, otherwise remains.


·        Marshal Cora Draco.  Excellent sighting, excellent guardian, gold.  Has been imprisoned.  Joins the group if they have an available slot, otherwise replaces the lowest ranking leader in the group.


·        The Adept twins, Vacco and Occav.  Excellent class sighting, guardian, but no gold.  Must have two open wizard slots, or they remain and the guardian returns.


 


Revisions to Existing Sightings:


·        Plow of the Prophet


·        Standard of Valor


·        Alter of the Holy Ancients


·        All weapon artifacts


 


 


Foreknowledge Changes:  OK, we will give the exact location of the artifact, as that is the easiest solution for the present.  There are other ideas, including shuffling six contingent areas of possibility, but I don’t want to spend development time on that now.


 


The other shoeNew Agent Order: Steal Secret of Foreknowledge.  For an L4+ agent, has a 50% base chance plus 10% per agent level over 4 to learn the location of a Foreknowledge artifact of that kingdom if it can identify the location of a city or town of that kingdom.  An L4 on this mission will be captured 20% of the time, -5% for each agent level over 4.

Please do not take any of my comments as a personal insult or as a criticism of the game 'Alamaze', which I very much enjoy. Rather, I hope that my personal insight and unique perspective may, in some way, help make 'Alamaze' more fun, a more successful financial venture, or simply more sustainable as a long-term project.
